Today I Learned – February 6/12

    • Anything past that 55 and you'll need to start writing things down...30 minutes seems to be the sweet spot when it comes to making dinner.  Anything under 15 minutes feels underplanned, anything over an hour seems overplanned.  Either way, I just want to eat.

  • No matter how good you think you’ll feel by going over the top in a workout it always seems to have the opposite effect.  Unless you consider shuffling instead of walking an ungrade.
  • It tough to decide how to handle getting thrown under the bus…do you grab their jacket so they come with you, or do you wait for them to run themselves over somehow?
  • Listening to yourself talk out of context can be an unsettling experience.  Having it as part of your job may be constructive, but it usually falls under the “cons” list of “things I have to do.”
  • If you’re going to go for a run and you’re listening to music, make sure the following songs are not included to maintain high energy: Matthew Good Band – Advertising on Police Cars, Cinematic Orchestra – To Build a Home, Dave Matthews Band – Crash.  Make sure the following songs are included: Foo Fighters – The Pretender, Deadmau5 – Sofi Needs a Ladder, Primus – Winona’s Big Brown Beaver.  Yes, it was on “completely random shuffle.”
